Relative androgenic activities of some anabolic steroids as measured by chick comb responses

Abstract

This paper presents data on chick comb responses to 13 anabolic steroids, including testosterone. Results obtained with both subcutaneous and topical administration are reported. The compounds studied were oxymetholone, oxandrolone, methandrostenolone, nandrolone phenpropionate, norbolethone, ethylestrenol, bolasterone, norethandrolone, 4-hydroxy-17α-methyltestosterone, methenolone acetate, 4-chlorotestosterone acetate, testosterone and stanozolol.
