Abstract

Autophagy is a common physiogical phenomenon in cells, which is closely related to cell growth, differentiation, apoptosis and carcinogenesis. Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) is a malignant tumor formed by clonal proliferation of bone marrow hematopoietic stem cells. Autophagy may play an important role in occurrence, treatment and drug resistance of CML. Therefore, the study of the molecular mechanism of autophagy and its relationship with CML may provide a theoretical guide for the development of new drugs targeting autophagy in the treatment of CML. This paper reviews the molecular mechanism of autophagy and the relationship between autophagy and CML. Key words: Autophagy; Leukemia, myeloid, chronic; Therapeutics; Drug resistance
