Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between knowledge management and information technology. This is a bibliometric review and combinations of the following descriptors were tested: "knowledge management" and "information technology". The results show the fundamental role of Knowledge Management and IT in modern institutions, its importance in generating value through intangible assets and how IT is closely linked to KM, enabling its use in a broad and functional way. The research shows that there is still a need for reflection and further study, especially in view of new data handling technologies.
