Abstract

Objective To investigate the occurrence rates of emotion of anxiety and depression in bone fracture patients, to analyze the correlations between them and locus of control and coping mode, and to ascertain the predictive value of locus of control and coping mode for the emotion of anxiety and depression.Methods A total of 91 bone fracture inpatients were surveyed by filling out Hospital Anxiety and DepressionScale (HAD), Muhimentional Health Locus of Control Scales (MHLC) and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ). Results The occurrence rates of anxiety and depression were 38.46% and 23.08% ,respectively. There was an obvious correlation between the emotion of anxiety and depression and part factors of locus of control and coping mode (P<0.05). Conclusions Nurses should pay more attention to the relationship between emotion of anxiety and depression and locus of control and coping mode, and offer an adaptive support and assistance to bone fracture patients.
