Abstract

TlSrCaCuO superconducting thin films were prepared by the mist microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) method, and the relationship between crystal structures and Pb addition of as-deposited films has been investigated as a function of the amount of Pb addition. The T c-zero (zero resistance) and the volume fraction of the high- T c-zero phase (1223 phase) increase with increasing amount of Pb addition x = Pb ( Tl + Pb) up to 0.30 and above that it decreases due to the promotion of the reaction favoring Ca 2PbO 4 formation as a secondary phase.
