Abstract

Objective: According to the Korea National Cancer Incidence Database (KNCID), the incidence rate of breast cancer is expected to increase sharply within the next decade as the proportion of the elderly in the population increases and westernized lifestyles continue to be adopted. However, unlike Western countries, in Korea, the age of onset is about 20 years earlier. Although many research results on breast cancer have been published, it is difficult to apply the above results as they are considering the differences between Korea and other countries.
