Abstract
Radioautograms prepared from livers of rats injected with 3H leucine were analyzed in order to determine the extent of a previously described zone of increased protein metabolism in the simple liver acinus. The two-dimensional size of the zone was ascertained. Also the relationship of this zone to other liver areas is discussed and possibilities are considered to explain the observed phenomenon.
