Abstract
The evolution of the theoretical bases of the Regional and International Stratigraphic Chart (ISC) from the Single (Unified) SC (SSC) used in the Former Soviet Union up to modern International Chronostratigrapic Chart (ICC) is testified. The priority of a local and different Regional SC as original mapped subdivisions before universal but artificial subdivisions of the IСС is maintained (substantiated). The sequence of the so called “Golden Spices” is regarded as new Time Coordinate System for stratigraphy with a correlation function only. The regularity in promotion (rise) in the course of time of a range of early established subdivisions is revealed.
