Abstract

The title of this research is "social relations between fellow vegetable traders in theFlamboyan Traditional market, Pontianak City.The general problem in this research isthe social relations between fellow vegetable traders in the Flamboyan traditionalmarket, Pontianak City. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of associativesocial relations, namely cooperation in the form of harmony and bargaining And theform of dissociative social relations is competition in the form of economic competitionthat occurs between fellow vegetable traders in the Flamboyan traditional market inPontianak. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a descriptivemethod. Data collection techniques used active participation observation, andinterviews. Data collection tools used in the form of observation guides, interviewguides, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, datapresentation, and drawing conclusions. The analysis in this study is presented in anarrative manner using 4 informants. The results of this study prove that there are socialrelations between fellow vegetable traders in the traditional market of FlamboyanPontianak. This can be seen from the social relations that are manifested in the harmonythat exists between fellow vegetable traders and in the form of cooperation in the formof bargaining that occurs between fellow vegetable traders, although there iscompetition between fellow vegetable traders, but the competition does not causeconflict between fellow vegetable traders, it actually triggers mutual help betweenfellow vegetable traders at the Flamboyan traditional market in Pontianak.Keywords: Social Relations, Vegetable Traders, Traditional Markets
