Abstract
AbstractThis paper gives general information on the subject of the transport of radioactive material in Taiwan. The responsibilities and tasks of the competent authorities for the transport of radioactive material, that is, the Atomic Energy Council (AEC www.aec.gov.tw) and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC www.motc.gov.tw) are introduced. Regulations applied to different modes of transport and other regulatory requirements related to transport of radioactive material are described. The different levels of service to organise the transport of radioactive materials are also described.
