Abstract
Abstract An objective of current paper is to provide a brief explanation and guidance on local regulatory requirements applicable to oil and gas projects in Republic of Kazakhstan (hereafter - RoK or Kazakhstan). The scope of this paper comprises the following: An essential information about the Regulatory Compliance in Kazakhstan Main regulatory requirements during the project development Useful notes in respect to regulatory compliance Main peculiarities of RoK regulations It is not an intention of this paper to detail each regulatory aspect and requirement; rather, the intent is to define the main important aspects and provide the clear vision on regulatory compliance to oil & gas companies working in Kazakhstan. Marketing, tax and labour regulatory requirements are not considered in current paper at all.
