Abstract

In modern society, industrial hemp is increasingly associated as an agricultural crop of integrated use, which processes all components of the crop. Greening of production and introduction of innovative technologies rediscover to mankind the healing properties of hemp raw materials, including those based on cannabinoid compounds. Industrial hemp has more than 50 cannabinoid compounds and only tetrahydrocannabinol has a psychoactive effect on the human body, so its content is controlled by law in many countries. It remains unclear how to use other cannabinoid compounds and raw materials for their production – leaves and inflorescences. This article analyzes the regulatory framework for the medical use of raw hemp raw materials in different countries and suggests ways to improve it in Ukraine. In particular, a clear separation of the term "industrial hemp", which does not fall under the Law of Ukraine "On Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors", the allocation of cultivation of industrial hemp in a separate licensed activity with a statement of comprehensive requirements for growing, harvesting and processing – all components stems, seeds, leaves, inflorescences, fiber.
