Abstract

This study aims to analyze the bibliometric profile regarding the regulation of elective surgeries in the Unified Health System in Brazil from 2011 to 2021. Bibliometric analysis study that selected and evaluated scientific articles with full texts, in Portuguese, available free of charge in electronic format , through the keywords: Elective surgical procedures, Waiting lists and Unified Health System, published between January 2011 and April 2021, in the VHL, Web of Science and Scopus databases. Programs were used for the selection/export and construction of the portfolio, such as Rayyan Software, JabRef®, Microsoft Excel® software and VOSViewer® Software for image creation. To generate the InOrdinatio index value, CiteScore 2021 and Google Scholar were used. The most relevant articles, authors and journals that published the most on the topic were statistically described. This study can contribute to planning improvements to the current regulatory system, by evaluating the potentialities and weaknesses of this System and creating new management tools, in order to solve currently existing problems.
