Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses about child victims of divorce whose parents that also experienced abuse from their parents and explain how children regulate their emotions about the uncomfortable treatment they feel. The result showed that the participants had a good emotional regulation. Children with good emotional regulation will have the ability to see situations and be able to change as assessment about situations positively and will cause a positive emotional reaction too. But, if someone's lack of ability to regulate their emotions will cause individual attitude that not assertive. This study uses qualitative research methods to figure out the phenomena from subjects holistically and means of words and language. Keywords: Divorce, abuse, emotional regulation.
