Regge cut contributions to exotic boson exchange cross sections

Abstract

Explicit calculations of near-forward differential cross sections for the single-particle-exchange forbidden reactions KN → KΞ, K − p →π +Σ − , and π −p→K +Σ − are reported. The predictions arebased upon an absorptive prescription for Regge cuts which satisfies s- u crossing. Characteristic properties of Regge-cut models are identified and suggestions are made for experimental studies.
