Abstract

Actual regenerative braking force of integer starter/ generator (ISG), which is varied with desired braking deceleration and vehicle, is calculated based on analyzing required braking deceleration, maximum brakmg force of ISG, engine braking force and state of charge (SOC). Brakmg force distribution strategies are presented according to actual regenerative braking force of ISG. In order to recover vehicle kinetic energy maximally braking shift rules for mild HEV equipped with automatic manual transmission (AMI) are brought forward considering effects of transmission ratios. Test bed is built up and testing results show that power recovered with braking shift rules is more than that recovered with normal braking control rules.
