Abstract

The article is dedicated to the consideration of the issues of mechanization, mechanical engineering, digital projects and technologies in agriculture. It has been noted that the introduction of new digital technologies and the further expansion of its range in agriculture is becoming very important and necessary in different countries, including Russia. The leading countries in the implementation of digital technologies in the agro-industrial complex are the USA, Canada, India, China, Israel. The content of "Digital Agriculture” (the departmental project of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation” has been studied. This project covers seven main areas of digital transformation as well as scientific and technological development of agriculture, and at least six innovative projects are expected to cover all sectors of agriculture. It has been revealed that at present high requirements are imposed on agricultural machinery and the performance of technological operations. And, taking it into account, the new approaches and programs such as "Precision farming", "Reasonable farming", "Intelligent agriculture", "Digitalization and the Internet of Things” are being developed.
