Abstract

The Pulsating Heat Pipe Heat Exchanger (PHPHE) is modern waste heat recovery technology being adopted in various applications. The present article is focuses on the detailed designing of PHPHE for waste heat recovery in air-conditioning applications. The design is based on various established correlations from literature. Based on these correlations, simulation is carried out in C language for which flow chart is given. The results are validated with the experimental results from the literature and maximum variations in effectiveness, heat load and pressure drop are in the range of ± 10%, ±13% and ± 20% respectively.
