Abstract

Dispersive Fourier transform spectroscopy (DFTS) is used to determine the dispersion of the real refractive indexn(σ) of the gases CH4, C2H4, C2H6, C3H8 and cyclo-C3H6 in the visible wave number range. Some molecular properties, e.g. oscillator strength sums, are derived from these measurements and compared with available data of literature.
