Abstract

The paper presents analytical expressions for the dielectric function, refractive index, absorption coefficient and reflection coefficient of radiation in a classical two-component fully ionized plasma. The expressions are based on the results of numerical calculations of the conductivity for the ultracold plasma model. These analytical expressions have simple form and depend only on two dimensionless variables: the frequency normalized to the plasma frequency and the strong coupling parameter. In this regard, they are applicable for any classical nondegenerate plasma in a wide frequency range and the strong coupling parameter. Comparison with various experimental data for low-temperature plasma is given.
