Abstract

This chapter presents an overview on the formulation of Hans-Detlef Hoffmann to the cult theme of reform and reforms. Perhaps it is a case of the theme of the Deuteronomistic Hoffmann has his basic thesis that all culture-form texts of the books of Kings are linked thematically with the Josiah report. The texts in the number of protocols of the Deuteronomistic history reflect the historical events that can be expected with significant proportion of models for the principle for the literary history. It should be noted that the source can be already mentioned in the middle of the second book of Kings. The chapter concludes that the books of Kings are not defined from the viewpoint of reform and reform.
