Abstract

As an applied subject within the preventive medicine, the teaching object of occupational hygiene should focus on training students’ practical ability for application of knowledge. This study took undergraduate of preventive medicine in Peking University as subjects, adopted comprehensive experiment and student-centered teaching methods, and aimed to train and improve students’ ability to carry out occupational health activities and integrate knowledge on their innovation performance through role-play and hands-on experience. The effects of teaching reform and students’ preference were evaluated using observation, interview and questionnaire survey. The survey shows that students are higher satisfied with this teaching reform, comprehensive on-site experimental teaching has obvious advantages to enhance students’ ability and comprehensive quality.
