Abstract

In the current study, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanocrystals have been created by the reflux method. Investigations have been made into their structural, morphological, optical, and capacitive properties. This polycrystalline nature is shown by X-ray diffraction structural analysis. ZnO integration was verified using elemental analysis with EDX. SEM technology demonstrated that the coating of the nanostructures’ surfaces was successful. The binder-free ZnO nanoparticle electrode as it was optimized displayed a reversible electrochemical property and offered a high specific capacitance of 335 Fg−1 at 5 mV s−1. These ZnO nanoparticle achievements were attributed to their open mesoporous structure and significant accessible area of hierarchical nanocrystals.
