Abstract
Reflectivity spectra of MoS2 and NbSe2 have been measured in the vacuum ultraviolet region between 1050 AA and 3000AA for near normal incidence of the basal plane. The results show a systematic trend in high energy interband transitions and in plasma resonances of these materials.
