Abstract

The Experience Design subject arises from the recognition of the post-industrial age, in which services become central to economic development. Due to the intangible and interactional nature of services, the comprehension of the user’s experience becomes essential. Furthermore, designers begin to question their own role in the interactional context, trying to satisfy the user. Based on background research, this paper explores Experience Design critical reviews and some thoughts about the development of this field. The result indicates that the designer should broaden his project view, and from a systemic perspective, design the users’ interactions with the context. Key words: experience design, design epistemology, design and emotion.
