Abstract

Despite a recent proliferation of online quantitative outcome studies, there have been few attempts made to collect qualitative data in psychology generally using similar technology enhanced approaches, particularly in substance use research. This article, therefore, reports on the experiences of using online qualitative data collection approaches, as part of a study with participants from the substance use recovery community, to investigate the different types of online recovery resources that they regularly used. What follows is a brief descriptive and reflective report on the process of conducting these online qualitative interviews, with recommendations for future research.
