Abstract

Reexamination of super-lattice reflections corresponding to 2b, 2c by X-ray reveals no exsistence of such a superlattice structure in the paraelectric and ferroelectric phases. In the paraelectric phase, however, interesting diffuse scatterings are observed around reciprocal points where the super-lattice reflections were expected. In the ferroelectric phase, only the super-lattice reflections corresponding to 2a are observed, and no diffuse scatterings are observed as in the paraelectric phase. It is confirmed that the true space group is Pnam in the paraelectric phase, and P n 2 1 a in the ferroelectric phase.
