Abstract

The complex Na 6H 4[O S II (EDTA) 3] is formed by reaction between osmium tetroxide, an olefin and EDTA. The same complex is produced by reaction between potassium osmate and EDTA. The EDTA analogue, trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N′,N′- tetraacetate, forms a similar complex.
