Abstract

Abstract The experimental planting consisted of 14 rows of 'Gala' variety strawberry at the Experiment Station in Geneva, NY. Two-foot wide matted rows were planted on 6 ft centers. Each row contained 7 replicates with 6 ft between each replicate. The planting was divided into 5 blocks and 16 treatments were completely randomized within each block. A single application was made on June 8 when nymphal counts reached 48/30 blossom clusters. Application was made at a rate of 100 gpa with a tractor-mounted row crop sprayer. All fruit was harvested and rated as injured or not injured, but only those fruits harvested ca 30 days (the normal ripening period) after the treatment are included in the table.
