Abstract

In this article is proposed a method of improving the stability of ballistic armor by placing in it a layer of whippy material located between the hard plate and the object of protection. Defined and mathematically described correspondence between key parameters specified armor design. Also done theoretical analysis of mechanical processes that occur in the interaction between bullet and armor at the time of strike. This takes into account parameters such as weight of hard plate, elasticity of the material damping pads, weight and bullet speed at the strike time.
