Abstract

In real-time holographic interferometry, misregistration of the reconstructed image due to emulsion shrinkage produces a residual initial fringe pattern which must be subtracted from the observed pattern to obtain accurate data on changes that occur in the object. A method of reducing the emulsion shrinkage, thus permitting accurate registration of the image and object with no residual fringes, is described.
