Abstract
AbstractThis study presents theoretical and experimental investigations on novel, compact, single layer and single probe‐fed rectangular microstrip patch antennas for dual and multi frequency operation. The novel design is achieved by cutting two rectangular slots at one side of the patch antenna. Compared with the conventional rectangular patch antenna, our antenna can achieve reduction in patch size up to 85%. Dual frequency operation has also been achieved effectively by just adjusting the feed position of a conventional rectangular patch antenna. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
