Abstract

Migration streams within Chile in the last three decades are described in demographic terms. This description is made considering several hypothesis on spa-tial population distribution trends. Thus, findings are linked with both current conceptual discussion and public policies. Study information was obtained by processing census datasets. The main conclusion of our analysis is that migration trends in the last 35 years show an incipient regional deconcentration process
