Red Wings - Blood Donation Android Application

Abstract

This is the era of technological advancement, so for every problem, there might exist a solution that is capable of solving the problem with ease by technology. One such problem is the quick availability of blood in case of emergency. Many blood donation applications provide various functionalities but lack on some grounds. Some of these concerned problems are safety, privacy and quick and right availability of help. The contact information of the blood donors can be easily compromised, which caused them many troubles. The Red Wings is made to keep privacy and ensure the safety of both the donor and receiver. This proposed application provides support for all emergencies and focuses on timings also. The major goal of this application is to connect Blood Banks and donors with recipients through verified hospitals, camps and alternative arrangements to avoid any wrong action. This application was made with ease by Android studio and Java frameworks both along with the use of major technologies like Firebase.
