Abstract
The work shows the results obtained through fieldwork in the community of Llano del Higo within the indigenous community of Jocotlán in the municipality of Villa Purification, Jalisco. The aim was to identify, from the perspective of forest degradation, the vulnerability and food security, the value of tropical forest resources in the diet of the inhabitants of this small town in Mexico.
