Abstract

Dysthyroid orbitopathy or Graves' ophthalmopathy (GO) is an autoimmune disease with a complex pathogenesis that usually occur in patients with hyperthyroidism. Surgical decompression of the orbit is an accepted and validated treatment of thyroid eye disease (TED). This is a case of a patient with left exophthalmos and ipsilateral maxillary sinusitis after 10years from the surgical bone decompression of the orbital floor for TED.
