Abstract

This study examines the participation in active and passive recreational activities among elderly Australians classified by cardiovascular status. The findings suggest that when an elderly person has a treated cardiovascular condition his/her participation in such activities does not differ from those who have no cardiovascular condition. It is also suggested, independent of cardiovascular status, that males belong to more clubs than females.
