Abstract

ObjectiveWe analyze our experience with the use of the McIndoe procedure Subjects and MethodsVaginal agenesis has an incidence of 1/5,000 female newborns. Hereby, we analyze our experience with the use of the McIndoe procedure, in 25 cases done in our institution, during a 17 year period. We analyze the diagnostic techniques used, the patient complaints, the surgical procedure and its short and long term complications, and the evolution of these 25 patients ResultsThe most of patients (99%) have satisfactory sexual relationships. We think that the McIndoe procedure is the election technique for its simplicity and good outcome
