Abstract

SynopsisThis paper examines major theoretical perspectives from which approaches to parent education are derived. The approaches are described as they pertain to variations in family formats and the changes which have occurred in Australian families. Popular parent education programs currently operating are identified and issues surrounding the availability of quality programs are raised.
