Abstract

An algorithm is developed for searching secant elements and simplexes having immiscibility in multinary systems; phase trees of systems are the only initial data set required for the implementation of this algorithm. The Li,Na,Rb||F,Br four-component reciprocal system is used for testing the algorithm. As a result of experimental studies, immiscibility regions are demarcated inside the Li,Rb||F,Br ternary reciprocal system, in LiF-NaF-RbBr and LiF-NaBr-RbBr stable secant triangles, and in the LiF-LiBr-NaBr-RbBr stable tetrahedron. The low-melting alloy corresponding to the four-component invariant point, with a melting temperature of 272°C, may be recommended for use as an electrolyte in chemical current sources.
