Abstract

The purpose of this review study is to illuminate selected themes in Inga Iwasiów’s pandemic collection of essays, Defrosting. Literature in Need (2020), the first volume in the Writing Studies series published by the University of Szczecin. The biographical theme, the way in which the author’s covid reading experiences and political engage ment are recorded and organised, and the practical dimension of the texts, as the advice and review sections seem relevant to humanities studies, are highlighted. The available review and authors’ meeting were used.
