Abstract
Pathogenic bacterial infections on the surface of public facilities and medical devices have attracted widespread attention, and the main reason is the lack of surface antibacterial properties. The abuse of antibiotics has caused an increase in bacterial resistance. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop antibacterial materials to deal with drug-resistant bacterial infection. The photo-responsive antibacterial materials based on chemical vapor deposition (CVD) has been widely studied to solve the above problems due to its simple equipment, diversified precursors, and continuous and uniform properties. In this review, the research progress of photo-responsive antibacterial materials based on CVD is reviewed, including photodynamic materials and photothermal materials. The review mainly focuses on the recent progress on the preparation of CVD-based photo-responsive antibacterial materials, antibacterial efficacy, antibacterial mechanism and applications. In addition, the current challenges and future development trend of CVD-based antibacterial materials are also discussed.
