Abstract
The most recent developments in the use of phase change materials (PCM) in solar dryers around the globe are summarised in this review article. The article emphasises the benefits of utilising PCM in solar dryers, including enhanced thermal performance and accelerated agricultural product drying. The review discusses the various PCM kinds and their characteristics, as well as the various arrangements of solar dryers that use PCM. The difficulties and restrictions of employing PCM in solar dryers are also covered in the study, including the need for careful PCM integration and selection as well as the complexity of PCM modelling. Overall, the study offers a thorough summary of the status of research on PCM-based solar dryers and offers insights into potential future research areas.
