Abstract

The findings of contemporary psychological research have made me realize that the central task of teaching mathematics is to organize student work rationally and to derive methods and forms, as far as possible, from the current findings of research in mathematics. The teaching of difficult subjects will then flow naturally from these innovations and changes in teaching methodology. In the present study, I have proceeded in three directions, and in the following synopsis I discuss separately the findings on these three topics.
