Abstract
The need for Ergonomics in engineering design must be complacent by including adaptability, loyalty, safety and feasibility in the workplace and work environment. This review contains the current research in the fields like Ergonomic interventions, Ergonomic Design, Ergonomic analysis, Ergonomic tools, Digital human model (DHM) and Virtual Ergonomics. The literature is selected from reputed ergonomics journals by filtering abstracts and titles using select words such as ‘ergonomic design’, ‘workplace design’ and ‘ergonomic intervention’. More than 200 articles were found and by analyzing the abstracts and findings the 44 articles have been preferred for this review. The paper aims to analyze the advancement in the last ten years in the field of applications of human–computer interface and computer-aided ergonomic design, thereby giving the recommendations for future research.
