Abstract This study aimed to know the reasons for non completion of the kangaroo position by the professional staff of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of a hospital in the interior of Bahia. This is a qualitative study that was made through semi- structured interviews with fifteen health professionals at the neonatal unit previously referred.
