Abstract

The author presents selected results of research on phoneme production /l/ by Polish-speaking people aged 3–40. She presents the linguistic foundations of empirical research, including articulation phonetics. The author also shows the analyses of the place of articulation of the sound [l] as the basic one during the normative realization of the phoneme /l/. According to the structure of studies adopted in empirical research, the work deals with the methodology of the research. It characterizes the research group and presents the results of research on phoneme /l/ implementation using qualitative and quantitative analyzes. The prepared study is a reconnaissance of issues related to the implementation of the phoneme /l/ by the population of Polish-speaking people.
