Abstract

The aim of this paper is to discuss the theoretical structure of the philosophy of art sketched by Arthur Danto and it suggests a possible reconsideration of his theory involving the role of the aesthetics in the philosophy of art. The aesthetics – this is the main thesis of the paper – may usefully integrate the researches in the philosophy of art, also in the Dantian's theory, trough the study of the structure of the human perception, which is a fundamental part of the human cognition, as well as of the main features of the aesthetics proprieties of the works of art.
