Abstract

This paper presents a real-time simulation of a Luenberger observer for DC-DC converters. The Luenberger observer is applied to a Buck converter in order to detect failures in the input voltage and variations in the system parameters. The real-time simulation is programmed in LabVIEW FPGA allowing to generate an interactive user interface. The convergence of the observer is validated under different initial conditions, variations in the input voltage and load disturbances in real time, presenting good results. This system intends to provide a real-time estimation that can be applied to Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) systems in DC-DC convertes.
