Abstract

The need for a source of electricity increases in accordance with the increasing use of water pumps for irrigating rice fields and homes. Renewable energy in Indonesia is abundant, especially solar energy. Several previous studies on solar energy for pump power sources still used autonomous systems. The aim of this research is renewable energy management using outseal PLC-based centralized control. The method used is to design a centralized control system using Simulink Matlab with components photovoltaic A (PV-A), photovoltaic B (PV-B), Battery-A, Battery-B, bidirectional DCDC converter, solar charge controller (SCC), inverter, and water pump. Implementation of the system using PLC outseal. The results of the study show that the design of a centralized control system can regulate alternating battery and PV sources to supply the load. At night or when the weather is not sunny, the load uses a battery source. When it is daytime and the weather is sunny, the load uses a PV source.
